Big news broke last semester when GA announced it had hired new lacrosse coach Theresa Ladouceur. Coach Tee comes to the Green & Gold from the Big Green: Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH. Her lax background also includes playing in the pro women’s league with the Philadelphia Force, as well as coaching at University of Denver, UC-Davis, and SUNY Albany. Ladouceur played on the Division I powerhouse Syracuse Orange. Welcome, Coach Tee!

How would you describe yourself when you were a player and now one word to describe you as a coach?
I was a hard-working, determined player (which she constantly embodies in her coaching style)
What would you say is your coaching style?
I am focused on the development of the team as a whole. It’s important to identify flaws to improve upon throughout the season! I have fun with my team but I expect everyone to show up ready to work and push themselves and each other.
What do you look for in a player?
I look for a player who can be a hardworking and supportive teammate. I believe that to succeed in the game, it is essential to continually lift up your team, bring a positive attitude, and leave it all on the field!
What was your main reason for coming to GA?
I chose to come to GA because of how similar the environment is to Dartmouth. I could feel the supportive community and admired the hard-working culture!
What do you think will be the main differences between high school and college lacrosse?
I am excited to focus more on helping high school players recruit rather than being on the other end of the process like I was at Dartmouth! The pool will be smaller since high school teams build and select from just the in-school players…I am excited to develop and work with the talent at GA.
What are your core values as a coach?
My core values include being a good teammate—meaning having each other’s backs—and creating a supportive team environment. Pushing players to their full potential and making each other look good on the field. It’s important for players to put their whole heart out onto the field, not just for themselves but for their teammates
Outside of coaching, do you have any hobbies?
I am learning the guitar and have a dog, Noodle, who I love! I also enjoy attending workout classes in my free time and look forward to discovering my new favorite ones around Greenwich. Definitely looking for recommendations!
What were some of your favorite things about Hanover/Dartmouth?
The close-knit community and the supportive atmosphere around campus. I loved experiencing the beauty of Hanover throughout each season and I feel the same way at GA!
