It doesn’t matter if you’re having a Valentine or a Galentine, here are great ways to get to the heart of the matter.
Board night
Everyone brings their own Valentine’s themed boards. Boards could include a candy board, dessert board, sushi board, charcuterie board, chips & dip board, fruit board, fast food board, all the boards!
Gift exchange
It’s like Secret Santa but for Valentine’s Day. Everyone gets assigned a secret valentine and you exchange gifts at your Galentine’s Party, where all will be revealed.
Customize picture frames
Get plain picture frames, some gems, glitter, paint, glue and make unique frames to put pictures of you and your friends in!
Paint mocktail glasses
Take any plain glasses and some paint, and decorate them for your Galentine’s meal! Galentine’s drink ideas include pink lemonade, shirley temples, and strawberry or raspberry smoothies.
Cook together
First, go to the store and buy ingredients for your favorite meal. Next, cook the meal (bonus points if you can find a way to make it Valentine’s themed). Finally, enjoy it together!
Go out to dinner
If neither of you is confident in your cooking abilities, pick your favorite restaurant and reserve a table for two!
Make something for each other
Whether it’s something as simple as a card or as complex as a handmade sweater, it’s the thought that counts!
Go ice skating
Cling to each other for dear life, duh!
Make pottery
Either find the nearest pottery painting place or buy some air-dry clay and paint and create something at home!
