This holiday is a wonderful time to celebrate what we feel grateful for and reunite with family over shared food and lively conversation. However, the holiday also causes a lot of work for many hosts who hope to prepare a wonderful spread.
If you’re looking to sweeten up your Thanksgiving menu with an easy-to-make and delicious treat, you must try these pumpkin bites! This dessert is certainly popular at my house as a Turkey Day favorite and I even get requests to make it all year round. The recipe is very simple to follow and is quick to prepare. I hope you enjoy these pumpkin bites!
½ cup butter, softened
½ cup brown sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ cup rolled oats
¾ cup white sugar
1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin
1 (12 fluid ounce) can evaporated milk
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon ground ginger
¼ teaspoon ground cloves
First, preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
In a bowl, combine brown sugar and butter
Add the flour to the bowl and mix well
Mix in the oats
Place the mixture in a 9×13 dish and bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes
In a new bowl combine the eggs and the white sugar
Add pumpkin, evaporated milk, salt, cinnamon, ginger and cloves to the bowl. Mix thoroughly.
Pour the mixture over the baked crust
Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes
Let the dessert cool and then cut into squares
You may garnish with whipped cream or serve plain
